About The Cake House
Owned by Jennie and her family, The Cake House was used as a cattle shed many years ago. The livestock were fed by cattle cake in the Winter and the buildings nickname has remained till today. The barns were converted in 1999 but Jennie and her family still farm the land next door. Guests staying in the master bedroom have a wonderful view across the valley with views of newborn lambs in the Spring.

The cottage is positioned in an Area of Outstanding National Beauty (AONB) - a popular location for cyclists and walkers alike - just a thirty minute drive away from York city centre. Explore the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Coast, or visit nearby villages such as Hovingham, Gilling East and Malton.
